Food

Classes will have a potluck style food luncheon. Thank you, room parents, for helping to coordinate a sign

up for families. Homemade food is fine including items like pancit noodles, pupusas, taquitos, spaghetti,

salads, or brownies, etc. Food (such as pizza) should not be delivered to the school with an expectation of our

staff make deliveries to the class. Room parents should pick up the delivery on Community Street.

• We will coordinate an outside area for you to set up the food and games. For this special event, Grades K

& 4-8 will have their class potluck inside the classroom. Preschool, First –Third will have tables designated

outside.

• At the potluck, students will be served lunch first so that each student has a chance to eat before the

games begin.

• Service hours and fundraising will NOT be credited for the potluck class lunch. Parents may receive service

hours for helping with set-up and clean-up, supervising the table games, and/or purchasing small prizes

($15 per hour). If there’s a purchase, the receipt must be attached to the service hour card. The maximum

service hour per family will be 2 hours for the event – this gives multiple families an opportunity to help

out the class. Room parents, please include the hours you are coordinating with teachers and other

parents.

• We ask room parents organizing the class parties and games sign the Interacting with Minors form if not

VIRTUS trained. They will be available at the entry gate.
